Since the beginning of March, these were initially shot for four weeks in Munich at the main railway station and in the Wappenhalle of the former airport in Riem, among other places, and the team then completed the last days of filming in NRW in Düsseldorf and Cologne, among other places.

The story: 791 kilometres is the distance between Munich and Hamburg. You can cover it quickly and comfortably by train or plane - unless a storm paralyses all connections. Like on this evening. On which Marianne (Iris Berben), Tiana (Nilam Farooq), Susi (Lena Urzendowsky) and Philipp (Ben Münchow) end up in Josef's (Joachim Król) hotly contested taxi. They don't know each other, but they all have to get to Hamburg - and go on a night journey together. In Josef's taxi, the most diverse personalities, life stories and views collide in the smallest of spaces. Here they argue, laugh, cry, make up, lie and tell the bitter truth - and with each of the 791 kilometres that the small community of fate comes closer to its destination, it becomes clearer that there is no such thing as one truth and that things are sometimes different than they seem at first glance.
The top-class cast of 791 KM includes Iris Berben (Der Vorname), Joachim Król (Der Junge muss an die frische Luft), Nilam Farooq (Contra), Lena Urzendowsky (Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo) and Ben Münchow (Weil wir Champions sind).
The director is Tobi Baumann, who most recently directed Faking Hitler (German Television Award for Best Drama Series) and also provided the idea for 791 KM. Gernot Gricksch (Mann tut was Mann kann) is responsible for the script and Philipp Kirsamer (Oh Boy) for the camera.
791 KM is a production of PANTALEON Films and ProU Producers United Film in co-production with SevenPictures Film, Brainpool and Magic Media Production. The producers are Dan Maag, Marco Beckmann, Patrick Zorer, Kristina Löbbert and Willi Geike.
